PurpleSector Welcomes Sir Jeremy Hunt to Thursley

We were pleased to welcome our local MP, the Right Honourable Sir Jeremy Hunt, to PurpleSector’s headquarters in Thursley, Surrey, to meet the team and learn more about our Formula 1™-derived approach to engineering and decision-making.

The visit prompted a wider conversation about the future of UK Defence and the value that specialist SMEs could bring to the sector. Britain already has businesses with the engineering expertise, advanced technology and agility to tackle complex challenges; the opportunity lies in turning innovative ideas and concepts into prototypes and robust products, ready to be adopted and scaled at pace.

We also shared how our operating model helps organisations make better decisions, faster - by ensuring the right people have access to the right information, and their decision-making architecture aligns authority to expertise, teams can retain vital context, respond quickly and accelerate the delivery of proven solutions – principles that could offer real value across Defence.

Continued investment in the sector can therefore achieve more than strengthening national capability; it can also support skilled jobs, encourage innovation and give British businesses a greater role in addressing some of the country’s most important priorities.
